Bollywood singer-performer and former Indian Idol talent, Harshi Mad teamed up with Atif Aslam on a musical tour across Suriname- South America, Trinidad- Port of Spain, Edmonton & Calgary in Canada recently. The special live concerts were organized by Balaji Entertainment in an effort to open up virgin territories worldwide for better penetration of Bollywood content- films and music. These concerts also aim to integrate Indian Diaspora to other country’s myriad populace through Bollywood and music and create a larger market for Bollywood per se.
This is Harshi’s second collaboration with singer Atif Aslam. The singing diva is a go- to name in the live concert circuit across the world and she has performed with celebrated names like Mika Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan. Sonu Nigam, Daler Mehendi, Ankit Tiwari and DJ Bravo in the past.
The first West Indies tour garnered cumulative audience strength of 10000 people, Indian expats and Bollywood music lovers, people who dont even speak Hindi nut love the music, united to cheer for Atif and Harshi. The duo doled out some of their popular chartbuster numbers like Tera Hone Laga, Pehli Nazar mein, Jeena Jeena, Wada Jo Kiya, while also tapped into popular Bollywood numbers like Kabhi Kabhi, Break up Song, Enna Sohna, Jab koi baat and Chittiya Kalaiya
"On teaming up with Harshi Mad, the famous Pakistani Actor and Singer Atif Aslam said, “Harshi’s strength has always been live concerts and her energy on stage is infectious. She has a really nice vocal tone and is a great singer to perform with. Im looking forward to work more with her.”
Talking about the concert, Harshi enthusiastically stated, “This is the second time I have collaborated with Atif, he is effortless. Music to him is almost second nature and he is a very passionate towards his art. I get a different kind of high working with him on stage. He is a rockstar.. he knows how to engage the audience so well.”
Harshi Mad, who is known for her party numbers and power packed performances, has performed in over 1600 events worldwide and has already debuted in Bollywood. She has acted with Sonakshi Sinha and sung ‘Jaegerbomb’ with Ankit Tiwari & DJ Bravo for the film “Tum Bin 2” directed by Anubhav Sinha and ‘Raat Saturday ki’ with Mika Singh for the movie ‘Love Day’. She was also part of the special launch event for Hindi feature film ‘Befikre’ in London at the opening of World’s first UNESCO city of films and more recently for the launch of the Salman Khan’s film ‘Tubelight’ in London as well.
After getting the great response from the tour, exceeding the expectations, the organizer is contemplating the second leg of the tour!!
