What if you get to hear songs
belonging to various different languages in a single album? Aren’t you astonded
to hear that? You might be wondering how can songs belonging to multiple
languages be included in a single album? Such an intriguing thought might have
popped up in your mind by now. Similar such multi-genre music is being brought
to us by Nihar Shembekar through his ‘Split Personality’ video-audio music
album. The dazzling launch of this music album was recently held at the Sathe
College in Vile Parle in the auspicious presence of prominent dignitories like
Hon. Shri. Suresh Wadkar, Jonny Lever, Kishori Godbole and Vijay Kadam.
Nihar has received the learning
and training of music right since his childhood from within his family only.
Nihar acquired the basic knowledge of music from his grandfather and famous
veteran musician Jawayant Kulkarni. Nihar was inculcated with the lessons of
music from both of his parents also and earned several distinctions both, at
the national as well as the international level. Apart from music, he also made
his presence felt by playing a role in the famous Hollywood movie, ‘The Jungle
Boy’. After being asked about the exclusive feature of this album, Nihar
asserts that the audiences shall get to hear songs of multi-genre in this
album. A soft soothing song such as ‘Bavriya Dhun Me Magan Tere Savariya’ and a
Gazal making a heart-throbbing appeal for love such as ‘Saanz’ apart from a
Punjabi Hip-Hop song ‘Fant-Sit’ and a ‘Swayam’ song in captivating classical
music are included in this album of a different kind. There are seven songs
included in this album and they can be heard in various Indian languages like
Marathi, Hindi, and English.
This first album of Nihar is a testimony
he desires to preserve of the music legacy of his family heritage. Apart from
the active support of his family members Nihar received a valuable contribution
from rhythm programmer Anupam Ghatak in the creation of this album. All said
and done, one thing is definite that these multi-genre songs being presented by
Nihar shall win the attention of the audiences at large for sure.
