AN AGE OLD LEGACY IN JEWELLERY CAME ALIVE IN THE DWARKADAS CHANDUMAL COLLECTION AT THE INDIA INTERNATIONAL JEWELLERY WEEK 2012 !

Presenting one of the most gorgeous collections, the Dwarkadas Chandumal show was a feast for the eyes. Skilled craftsmanship came alive on the ramp to reveal the finest in jewellery designs. From classic to contemporary creations, the company showed a wide line of design sensibilities and styles that will gladden the hearts of women around the globe.

It was a magical show called “Magie Noire” that set the ramp on fire with its drama and style. The two lit candle stands on either side of the stage set the mood for the show. As the lights dimmed, Tara Sutaria and Sheriyar Atai, stage stars regaled the audience to the theme from “Phantom of the Opera”.

Showing the glamorous “Cocktail” collection, the company proved its expertise in style and design. It was a line of the most dramatic earrings in shapes that boggled the mind. Paisleys, floral squares, and trellised pear shapes, long shoulder dusters – the list was exotic - as diamonds, rubies and emeralds were blended beautifully to create glamour for the ears.

The “Polki” line was a study in craftsmanship and uncut gems as pendants with emeralds glittered brightly, curved flat collars, while Polki chains mixed with gold ones and ruby drops added style to the neckpieces. The filigreed gold flat collar with rubies and emeralds, the pearl edged earrings and the tantalizing waistbands were sexy additions for a festive occasion.

The “Bridal” collection was so exotic that it will be a rage with brides who want to stand out on that special day. Here was drama of the ultimate kind as tiny linked diamond circles were entwined around the neck and flowed into earrings. Three strands of emeralds were linked to a semi circle of thickly encrusted diamonds and the delicate five strands of tiny circles of diamonds gave an enchanting touch. The peek-a-boo looped neckpiece, the U shaped emerald studded necklace, the rectangle motif chocker and earrings, the rubies with diamonds pointed necklace which cascaded down the front, were visions of beauty.

Showstopper, Mughda Godse star of the hit film “Fashion”, looked stunning in an intricate set, comprising a giant flowing bib necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring in diamonds with rubies as a main attraction.

When it comes to ornaments with classic beauty and timeless style, the Dwarkadas Chandumal collections were the perfect offering for any time of the day or night.
