Let's Talk About Pornography !!

Sex Ki Adalat has managed to take a novel approach in talking about sex education. With the first four cases, Sex Ki Adalat tackled issues like India’s obsession with the male child, virginity, masturbation and menstruation. The final case in the series has a different take on another social taboo i.e. Pornography.

Watching pornography has been associated with violence against women in the past. Case 5 of Sex Ki Adalat establishes a strong connection between a youngster's need to watch pornographic content and the fact that many Indian parents refrain from having conversations with their children about sex.

This case effectively addresses how parents are embarrassed about discussing issues related to sex with their children leading to ignorance among children which in turn leads them to seek answers elsewhere.

The case concludes with some hard-hitting truths that are bound to make many parents do a re-think on parenting advice when it comes to sex education.
The new web series Sex Ki Adalat (Court of Sex) by Population Foundation of India (PFI) discusses critical issues related to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of youth and adolescents. It uses the entertainment-education format to build awareness and aims to start a healthy discussion on social media platforms.
