Having earned massive popularity and fame through several
TV serials and movies, the Bhojpuri Superstar Ravi-Kishan is soon scheduled to
play the lead role of a journalist in a Marathi film. Ravi-Kishan is appearing
in the capacity of a journalist in the upcoming Marathi feature film
‘Madhyamvarga – Middle Class’ being presented under the banner of Vasan Arts
Media Pvt. Ltd. The film is being produced jointly by Hon. Mrs. Laxmi Babaji
Anjarlekar and Sanjay Gopal Chabriya.
The ceremonious launching, the Muhurta, of the film ‘Madhyamvarga – Middle Class’ being presented
by Vasan Arts Media Pvt. Ltd. and directed by Mr. Harry Fernandes was conducted
recently in the presence of the artistes and technicians associated with the
film amid ample enthusiasm. The famous Marathi artiste Siddhartha Jadhav is
appearing as a Police Inspector along with Ravi-Kishan. Among other artistes in
equally challenging roles include, Nayana Apte, Nisha Parulekar, Kashmira
Kulkarni and Anant Jog.
Talking enthusiastically about his debut appearance in the
world of Marathi films, Bhojpuri Superstar Ravi-Kishan said, ‘I am born and
brought-up in Mumbai only. In that sense, I am essentially a son of the soil –
a Mumbaikar only. Therefore I was
longing to play a role in a Marathi feature film and was keenly searching for
an interesting role in a promising theme. Mr. Harry Fernandes narrated the
story of this film ‘Madhyamvarga – The Middle Class’ and I found it
substantially interesting. I had worked with Harry earlier in several films
which has been a cornerstone of our confident relationship about each other and
hence I immediately approved to appear in this film. I do understand Marathi
language well and I am reasonably proficient in conversing in Marathi also but
I am going to pay a serious attention to different facets of my role and also
the typical pronunciations of all my dialogues also. Besides, even the dubbing
of these dialogues shall be done none other than myself only’.
Through this film Siddhartha Jadhav is appearing in an
interesting role of a Police Inspector before the audiences. About his role,
Siddhartha said, ‘I had once earlier played a role with Ravi-Kishan in a Telugu
film. Ever since then we became close friends. He is looking forward positively
even to this film considering his tuned-up association with Ravi-Kishan
earlier.
Conceived by ‘Vasant-Sanjay’, the story of the upcoming
Marathi feature film ‘Madhyamvarga – the Middle Class’ is the brainchild of
Harry Fernandes whereas the cinematography is being handled by Shafiq Sheikh
with Arvind Tyagi as its able and competent editor. Badshah Khan looking after
costume, Gunawant Sen for music, the songs have been composed by Babasaheb
Saudagar and Sawanta Gawali and action scenes being directed by R.P. Yadav.
Vasant Abaji Anjarlekar, Mrs. Shafi, Sanjay Adhav, and S. Pramod are the
Executive Producers of this film.
