Gossip Pegs for Coke Studio@MTV !

Shilpa Rao a talented and diverse singer teams up with famous and well known EDM artist’s Jalebee
Cartel to make a power packed Punjabi song ‘Dum Dum’. This song will be a perfect combination of EDM
meets traditional Indian music. For the first time both these artist have come together to make a song
that talks about hope and belief in life through its nicest and toughest times.

Their unique combination and styles of music is going to set fire on the stage and make this one of the
favourite track for many. The element that makes this song different is that, both these artist’s come
from different genres of music but when mixed together they come out with a one of its kind and
outstanding result.

Folk galore with Sugandha Garg and Papon only on Coke Studio@
MTV Season 2

~ A multi producer episode brings the fusion of music to a whole new level this Saturday, 25th
August @7pm only on MTV ~

Known for his amazing folk music skills Papon takes the stage to enthrall the audience with his soulful
musical. Papon will sing ‘Tokari’ a folk song from Assam, this song originates from the Assamese
instrument ‘Dukari’. He has added a lot of electronic elements to the song. This form of folk music is
slowly dying out in Assam and this is Papon’s attempt to give it some focus and bring it back to life.

Adding her soulful voice to the song is Sughanda, wife of the famous television face Raghu Ram the host
of MTV Roadies. An exciting fusion of voice and folk tunes waits to ensnare your senses.

IT guys by day, Musician by night

~ One of the south’s most established artist AGAM perform on Coke Studio@MTV with brand new tunes
on Saturday, August 25th only on MTV ~

The members of AGAM are IT professionals and have day jobs but when the sun goes down these techie
boys turn into the most famous musical band of South India slowing making name for them in the
country.

The main genre of the band in Karnatic rock and will be seen on Coke Studio@MTV season 2. Since
they got invited to be part of Coke Studio@MTV they were very particular about what song and
how they perform it. The song they will sing is ‘Malhar Jam’ this song is inspired by Indian classical
forms but is presented in a contemporary rock fashion. The overpowering emotion in the song is of
happiness & celebrations. Since it is a tarana it has no lyrics but is an amalgamation of various ragas. The
predominant raga used is Malhar.
