Ameen Sayani’s ‘Geetmala ki Chhaon Mein' – Vol. 11- 15 launched exclusively on Radio City 91.1FM
Mumbai, May 11, 2010: Few radio programmes have been bestowed such iconic status as Ameen Sayani’s GEETMALA that aired top Bollywood songs during the era of 1952-1994. Radio City 91.1FM, India’s leading FM brand, in association with Sa Re Ga Ma is proud to launch exclusively, for the first time ever, the veteran RJ, Ameen Sayani’s album ‘Geetmala ki Chhaon Mein’ – Volumes 11 – 15 that covers the immortal music of 1959 – 60. The Hindi retro Guru, RJ Gaurav is honoured to be in conversation with Ameen Sayani, as he launches ‘Geetamala ki Chhaon Mein’ on radio’s most popular retro show ‘Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi’ in a two hour special episode on May 10 from 9 to 11 p.m., treating listeners with the on-air chemistry that the evergreen Ameen Sayani carried down the ages.
In addition; Radio City 91.1FM exclusively brings back to you Ameen Sayani in his original style, with his popular show – ‘Geetmala ’, every Sunday of June. The show as in retrospect will have a remarkable repertoire of songs showcasing gems from Indian film music from the 1959 to 1960; timeless ‘hits’ of the time, interwoven with interviews of legendary artists such as RD Burman, SD Burman, Mohd.
